I find that having time to do everything that it takes to make a blog grow and also make GUARANTEED income is hard. I love all aspects of it though. I make more money though working for other bloggers than I do with my own blog. My own blog brings in a nice size income, but I don't have enough hours in the day.

I agree Crystal - There are so many things involved in creating a successful blog it can be hard to get it all done by yourself.

Currently I'm struggling with what to do with one of my blogs. I did a bit of a focus shift at the beginning of the year and then got lost. I'm trying to figure out where my blog should go from here, what exactly I should focus on, what's my niche?

I'm trying to figure out where my blog should go from here, what exactly I should focus on, what's my niche? I don't envy your position. I've spent the last 3.5 years trying to find my OVERALL niche. I've just decided to narrow down to FAMILY. I do feel I fall into the family entertainment realm more, but I love talking about to many things to be narrowed down to just a small handful of topics.

I've been blogging for a decade, and I still struggle with my niche. The longer you blog, the more you grow and change, and your niche naturally morphs along with you.

My biggest writing challenges are trying not to be a downer blog. I write about living with Aspergers, Epilepsy and a rare neurological condition called agenesis of the corpus callosum, or that I don't have one. My other challenge is funding. I don't have any idea how to do give a ways sponsors or monetize

One thing you can do as far as content is to talk about challenges that you've overcome. Talk about issues that would affect others, and give them ideas and hope for success. That's pretty much the goal of successful blogging - to find ways to solve problems for your readers. For monetizing your blog, first you can check out Massive Sway. The SITS Girls blog also has a lot of information on monetizing - you can start here. Hope that helps!

Distractions. Seriously, I need to stay off of other sites and JUST FOCUS on writing, but its soooo hard to stay off of facebook/youtube and not get distracted by everything.
