Let's say you post a new post on your blog. When do you send out all your social media blasts about this post? Do you do them as they post? Do you schedule them with software? Do you post them all at once?
We mainly use Pinterest, Google+, Twitter, and Facebook.

I do the same day. I use Hootsuite for scheduling and it makes it much simpler. This way, when I am connecting on social media, I'm doing real connecting and don't have to worry about posting so much.

I share them the same day and am now going to start sharing the same post every few days (with different wording). I use Hootsuite to schedule posts for Twitter, Facebook profile, and Facebook page. BUT, I use Bufferapp.com for my Facebook GROUPS because although Hootsuite can post to groups, the pictures are not 100% visible. You have to click on it to be able to see it. I hate that. I like FULL images and bufferapp posts the full images in groups. Hootsuite only posts the full images everywhere else except FB groups. I hope they fix that soon.
Note: You can only post 10 posts through bufferapp.com for free. They'll make you upgrade if you want to post more.

Do you post them all at once? We mainly use Pinterest, Google+, Twitter, and Facebook. Mine go out immediately, however I do have a schedule and post regularly at the same time. I also have IFTTT set up to repost into my Buffer for Twitter for later. On Twitter especially it's helpful to promote your most recent post at least 3 different times. Pinterest is different, I try to pin it around when I post it, but I'm on a completely different time zone than my audience and my blog. So I try to pin it nighttime for me, and morning for my audience (or whenever I remember as I do still get confused by timezones and/or busy with other things at prime Pinterest posting times). I also go back and repin posts after a few days or so to other relevant boards for more exposure (for example a recipe will go to my board for recipes on the blog, as well as say my main dish recipe board, and also my blogger group boards).

I do the post, connected to Bloglovin', which auto tweets for me. Then I post to Facebook that day or the next. Then others, Pinterest, HomeTalk and G+ after Facebook.

I post them whenever, really. I don't have a rhyme or reason to anything lol. But I do think it's important to post manually, not send them out via schedulers/pushers.

If you're able to analyze engagement, then definitely do that to find the best times to post. There are tons of guides out there that say you should post x to x network at x time of day, but the best case for you is to see when it is most successful with your followers. Facebook pages has built in analytics to see what type of posts get the most clicks or engagement. So let's say you find that you get the most likes when you post at 6 pm at night, schedule your posts to go out around then.
For me personally, after I publish a blog post, I schedule it to twitter and facebook around 9 or 10 am. I'll also post it again the next day with different wording.
Scheduling is also a huge time saver, but also make sure it's not obvious that every single thing you publish to social media is scheduled.

i do all of those.
I'm working on a blog post right now to show how to learn when you're getting the most traffic to your blog, which can help to know when to post to social media for you.
