I try, but I end up discouraged. I ask a question, usually no one answers. I just can't seem to get people to engage. Would love some proven tips/suggestions.The engagement I do have comes more from boosting groups, rather than readers. I don't want to rely so heavily on boosting groups. Thanks

Thanks One of my strategies has been commenting on other bloggers' posts and to directly ask for feedback at the end of my post. I also spread questions through my blog post asking for feedback. Layout your photos in such a way that question is in close proximity. A lot of people don't really read the posts, they just scan and look at pictures, so if you have a question close to a photo it's more likely to catch their eye. Posting relevant content is always important and distributing it on appropriate platforms. These are just my strategies that have been working for me. Hope that helps.

Take 15 minutes each day to comment on other bloggers' posts - specifically ones that have CommentLuv. It makes it easier for them to click over. Oh, and make sure when commenting that your last post was super interesting so they *want* to click over. Then, add a call to action - a question they really want to answer - at the end of each post. Even with a large following, sometimes getting comments is extremely difficult. I always wonder how bloggers get hundreds of comments on each post - no idea! I am happy with just a few, because sometimes there are none.

Asking a question at the end of your post makes it easy for people to leave a comment.

Don't forget y'all that some of these bloggers with hundreds of comments on a post have half a million readers...so they're bound to get a lot of comments! One suggestion I have is to track what kind of posts get the most number of views and comments...and then write more like that! What your readers are sharing and engaging with is what they like and probably want to see more of.

I found that Link Ups get you regular readers who interact with your blog and if you comment on someone's blog and leave a link to yours, they will usually comment back. I ask questions too and rarely do I get a response, so I think it just takes time to build your following!
