Hi Kareema! I just checked out your site and I am going to give you a list of suggestions based on a very quick glance... pointing out the things I immediately notice about your blog. 1. Your header image is very squished. I see in your sidebar what it's supposed to look like. It would look much more professional if you shrunk your image so that it fits proportionally for your theme. 2. But speaking of your theme... Whoah! That's a lot going on on your front page. Your theme was designed to help you highlight content. Except, you've kind of highlighted everything - Popular posts, Recent posts, recipes, Giveaways, etc. I'd suggest narrowing it down a bit. Maybe stick with just the popular posts and allow your readers to use your navigation bar to do the rest. There's so much going on that it makes it difficult for the reader to figure out where to start. 3. Your ads have prevented me from wanting to dig any further. Ads are an evil necessity for those of us looking to make a little money, but there's no use in them if you can't keep readers around to click on them. One of your ads flooded the whole screen and played sound at me just because I hovered over it upon trying to mouse over to your navigation bar. I apologize if it seems like I'm being hard on you. There's a lot of content that I'm sure readers of your niche would love... you just need to help them get to it!

Thank you for the feedback.
I agree about the logo, working on correcting that. As far as the ads, I thought there were minimal compared to other sites, but point taken.
May I ask what ad played sound? I have never heard music on the site from an ad.

It was an ad for Hunger Games. Of course you can't stop it from playing ads for everyone like that... lol But I wanted to give you a heads up. Food for thought: Just because you have less ads, doesn't make them a hindrance for readers. I tooootally understand the desire to make some money, but sometimes that amount is so insignificant that it's actually costing you in the long run by pushing readers away.

Your header image and most of your featured images are squished. You need to make sure your site and image proportions are the same. You need to either change the images themselves or change the featured and menu image sizes in your theme's code. Since you also have featured images prominantly all over your blog, you have to make sure you include them in all your posts, so that ugly "no image available" doesn't show up. Some of your "read more" tags are being hidden, so it looks like you need to either fix that with some coding or watch your excerpt length.
Overall, there is a lot going on here. It's a bit overwhelming for a visitor with all the ads, and images of everything. I find the recent post / random post section particularly confusing. Are those recent posts or random posts? How do I tell? I'd do something to make that more clear, perhaps pick one either random or recent and go with it. There is just so much going on her as you continue to scroll down your site. I'd try to streamline and condense your home page. Get rid of or move the things that aren't drawing people into your site. Keep only the most important things.
You have a nice menu, but when I click on "home life" it doesn't do anything. Recipes, however does work. So if the top level items aren't going to be clickable go with that, but if they are then all of them need to direct to a url.
I was scared to visit this on mobile, but it's so much better on mobile! It's much simpler and so much less intimidating for your visitors. However, the image still isn't sized properly on mobile. It's all squished and pixelated.
I'd take a good hard look at your site and see how you can streamline it and get rid of the stuff you don't need. I have a feeling a cleaner look would help your site immensely.
