I missed Day 1 yesterday, but I would love some design feedback! I use Blogger and have designed it all and done the coding myself so its not as great as if a professional did it! I would love to know first impressions and any recommendations for changes!! Thank you!!! www.meetthebs.com

In your sidebar, after the subscribe box, things start to look cluttered and not as cohesive. But you blog design looks great! Nice and clean! In the blurb below your picture maybe you could address what your blog is about. Without actually going through a few of your posts, I wouldn't know what it's about. And if I don't know if it's a topic I'm interested in, I would normally just click out.

Welcome, and thanks for participating! I love the blog colors - teal is my favorite. The design is clean, and you have lots of white space - that's perfect! A few things I noticed upon landing on your blog: The menu font is very tiny. It wouldn't be so bad if it was a block font, but cursive + tiny = hurting eyeballs. Let us know what your blog is about! Upon landing, I'm not really sure why I should stick around. Your social media buttons open in the same window - have them open in a new tab/window!

meetthebs - For a simplistic clean design, it looks great! I might suggest a line separator between posts and cleaning up the social share icons for the Share this on each post... they are fairly pixellated. Same goes for the social icons at the bottom.

meetthebs You could add a tag line in your header that shortly and sweetly tell what your blog is about.

Hello and welcome! Nice blog!
I love the colors and header! I agree with the ladies above on the other things. I suggest adding a tagline to the header too. And maybe even a bit more space between the header and the menu. And I want to know more about you on the main page!
While I love the color, I would suggest taking it back a notch on using it for every single header or title or text. It would make the color pop if maybe you kept the header teal but then the navigation menu black with a teal hover. Or maybe use black for "Meet The" and then teal for your logo "B's". Or even black for the { } and teal for the text inside on your menu. Does that make sense? That way you are not overdoing it on the teal and making it easier on the eye to separate things when reading your blog.
Also, the cursive font makes it look pretty, but it is kind of small and hurts my eyes just a bit. (Or maybe I'm just getting too old? ;-) )
Great job on the backend--I know how hard it is to tweak a design! (By the way, I'd love to know how you made your header! Designing headers and logos is one of my weaknesses!)
And do you have any control over the hover color for your Pinterest icon on pictures and the sharing buttons? If so, may I suggest any other color but red? I feel like it clashes with the teal color on the rest of your site.
Great crafting!

Thanks for all the advice!!! I appreciate it and hope to make a few tweaks soon! Katrina- for the header I designed the whole thing including the navigation menu all in one image using PicMonkey and then uploaded it to image-maps.com to create the links. I was having a lot of spacing issues when each icon was a separate image so I decided this was just easier!
