Hello! My name is Sandy and I am a mommy fashion blogger. I'd like a critique on my blog. I recently had it designed and would like to know what you all thought about the design. My content. If there are any ways I can engage with my readers that I am not taking advantage of. www.fashnbeaucoup.comThank you!!!

Hi Sandy! I would make your contributor buttons bar white so that the logos don't contrast with it. It looks like you're going to more of a magazine feel, so some of my usual comments don't really apply (like have a photo of yourself on the main page). I don't like that your slider has three stories per swipe so I have to choose which one I'm going to click on. Too many choices can be overwhelming, especially when it's timed and will disappear in a few seconds! I would also make social media icons more prevalent to build engagement. Lastly, "Latest news" and "Trending Now" are the same posts, so you could consider getting rid of one of them. Hope that helps!

I would definitely agree with making the background white on the contributors buttons. I also feel like it's almost overwhelmingly busy - there is way too much movement and it's very distracting! You have the scrolling bar on top (I would personally get rid of that completely), the sliders changing, the animated banner for the link going to Lucky - it's a lot of action.
Your social icons on your posts are purple - make them either black or red (you could even squeak by with gray) to match the rest of the design.
I understand wanting to do pictures on your posts that span the width of your page for the sake of the layout, but it causes a loss of quality - they tend to look grainy because they aren't meant to expand to that size. You'd have to have pictures that were at least 2000 pixels wide, but the load time would be too much.
I'm not seeing any photo attributions. I would definitely recommend watermarking your own photos and putting attributions on anything that's not yours. It'll save you from the possibility of legal issues down the road.
As far as content goes - I like the niche, because being a mother doesn't mean you can't be fashionable, but I would avoid some of the posts about parenting issues, such as the one on weaning. I totally get where you're trying to fit that in, and it's applicable to your audience - but stylistically, it doesn't mesh with the rest of your site.
I really like some of your outfit posts though - you have great taste! And your kiddo is super cute!
