Hello! I'm new to the SITSgirls Forum and I'm really excited to be a part of such a wonderful community. To give you a little background about myself, I've been blogging for about 4 years now. I like to call the first 3 years in my blogging journey the "dark ages" because I knew nothing about blogging professionally, design aesthetics, etc. My blog was basically just an online journal for me to talk about makeup. A little over a year ago everything changed and I started to pursue blogging as a serious venture. I've been working very hard to improve my blog both design wise and in content. I would like to pursue blogging as a full-time job and I'm working on getting my blog ready for the next step. I would appreciate any suggestions on how I could improve what I have so far, so please feel free to offer constructive criticism, tell me what you like, etc? www.PrettyInPigment.com Thank you so much for your time and help! xo, Sahily

I like that you have some featured posts in your sidebar to increase engagement. Everything looks very good. If I had to nit-pick I would say the thick black menu bar could be a bit smaller. I really have a hard time figuring out what to focus on - your header or your menu bar! Kelly asideofsweet.com

I don't know what sort of screen resolution you're testing it at - but when I tried looking on it with my 1366 x 768 laptop screen, my browser window wasn't wide enough for the site and it pushed the sidebar down and created a lot of really funky white space. Are you using fixed pixels for width? That could cause it.
Also - typo on your email signup, it's "recieve" where it should be "receive."
This may just be me - but you have this awesome multi-colored drawing instead of just the usual picture, and it kind of feels like the rest of the site is bland in comparison - I like the polka dots behind the title but the rest of your color scheme is black, gray, white, and light pink. I would honestly rather see you throw some more color elsewhere on the site, or change the picture to match the rest of the site (show me with an above-the-fold picture what your style is and why I would be interested in reading you specifically).
It seems like you have a LOT of options in your menu. While I applaud your use of the drop down boxes, I question the need for so many things. Do you really need "design" and "decor" categories? Decor only has two posts, design has none. I understand not wanting to limit yourself, but you have a very specific niche, and it says so right up front - "Plus size Miami fashion blogger." I'm not going to be coming to your blog to pick up design tips. If you want to do something out of your niche, maybe consider guest posting on another blog or selling it to another blogger? I'm in a VA group on Facebook that's essentially just "I have this post for sale" and bloggers buy the content they want. By adding in those other categories, you're distracting from the focus of your blog, in my opinion.
Hope some of this is helpful! I'm super impressed by the press you've gotten, by the way - and I actually remember seeing the Star Trek eyelid! (I'm a huge geek and Trek is my thing).
