Hi! So glad to be here. I have blogged on and off for years using different url's. I finally decided to get serious and have moved all old blog posts to my new blog Coffee with Jamie . I've been really working on my graphics and updating posts. One of the hardest things for me was trying to figure out a cohesive featured image that I could modify for each post. I think I've got what I like, but would love some feedback. You can see the featured image in these posts: Some questions I have are: - Would you consider my niche lifestlye?
- What should be done different with my sidebar?
- Do you think my graphics/design are OK?
Thanks so much!! ~Jamie

I think your niche would be considered lifestyle, but that's just my thoughts! Overall I think your sidebar looks good...I would maybe remove the Pinterest widget because it can slow the site down and if you have a Pinterest button (which you do!) you don't need to do it twice. I would maybe center the image in your header

I love your blog design - just an FYI your signature above has wwww so when I first clicked to get to your blog it doesn't work. I had to change it to www in my address bar.

To be completely honest, I think the graphics are fine, but if they take you any sort of time to do I would just skip it. The graphics that you are creating aren't around "pinnable" content where designs like that are really useful. This is the opinion of one, but I'm always looking for ways to streamline my own blogging process and focus on the important stuff! At the same time, if it's the only photo that you have in a post, I would keep it because all text posts are not as interesting! I do LOVE the graphic in the sidebar - with all the coffee mugs. You're SO talented! Kelly asideofsweet.com

I like when I see that on other sites, so that's why I added it. It's not just my pins. I had my header image centered, but it didn't show on mobile version. I can't figure out how to do the responsive thing. I did a tutorial on it, but it wouldn't work.

So, you're saying spend more time on images if they are part of posts that would be good pinning prospects? Such as recipes, etc?

I wouldn't necessarily buy pictures...there are some great sites that have stock photos that you can use free of charge!

I also love your coffee images. super cute--good idea on getting them from Etsy. I would suggest moving your Social Media buttons to the top of the side rail--above the Free Email updates-below the Bloglovin button. Cheers! Shana from www.Technotini.com
