I get a few hundred pageviews from Facebook each day, plus I get tons of interaction when I need it. So, for me it's worth it. I wouldn't tell someone new that it's worth it, though... newbies don't have the luxury of getting easy fans like we did in the good ol days.

The people in Facebook groups I belong to really help my Facebook postings get going.

slapdashmom Just out of interest, what are the conversions on your FB traffic, beyond the pageviews?

Over the last month I've joined several groups in my niche which I feel fit to my ICA - I hang around, I'm helpful, I give out e.g. a coupon for my class and if someone requests something I jump in and help out and connect with them. What I can measure so far I have made 500 Euros from that over the last month so it was well worth. I believe I even gained some long term customers!

I think it's helpful. I know that on a personal level, I share a lot of articles and blog posts I enjoy on Facebook so hopefully, my Facebook page will inspire the same in others.

I think Facebook is pretty helpful. I've created a Facebook page for my old blog, and as I remember I got quite a bit of traffic from there. Even though I didn't have thousands of Facebook fans! It was also good to communicate with readers, as I got a lot of questions and messages through Facebook. So I'll definitely use Facebook once my new blog goes online! I actually think it's easier to get traffic than with twitter, since your posts don't get 'lost' so easily!

I love having my group on Facebook - it's the best way I have of really connecting with readers of my blog. We have great conversations in there, and it's turning into a real community of people helping each other.
My page was stalled for a long time because I was posting what I wanted to post rather than what my readers wanted to see. Since I've started focusing more on what's already popular on Facebook, I'm getting more reach, which has led to more page likes, and more click throughs on my own posts. I've even had newsletter sign ups directly from my Facebook page for the first time.

I'm also using it to direct traffic back to the blog.

All Social Media is first and foremost social - so when you connect, engage, and grow relationships it is the most beneficial - that being said . . . Facebook is becoming more and more challenging for getting a beneficial ROI.

This will involve lots of testing and trial and error on your part! It also involves knowing what to do and not do on Facebook.
